Job Opportunity: Clinical Psychologist at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, one of the UK's largest healthcare systems, employs approximately 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide a wide range of services, including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care, to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Renfrewshire CAMHS team. The successful candidate will deliver psychological and psychometric assessments for children and young people in Renfrewshire, as well as provide psychological therapy within the Tier 3 CAMHS team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct assessments and provide therapy to children and young people.
2. Work across service pathways within the CAMHS team.
3. Supervise lower-grade staff, including MSc and doctoral trainees.
4. Contribute to service development and clinical service delivery.
Team and Environment
You will be part of a supportive team of established clinical and applied psychologists, working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. The team offers opportunities for peer support and professional development in a dynamic environment undergoing significant change and innovation.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), accredited by BPS or HCPC.
* Registration with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist.
* Membership in a group of over 100 psychologists working with children and young people.
Additional Information
Strong links with the University of Glasgow Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the University of Edinburgh MSc Course in Applied Psychology for Children and Adolescents are in place.
