Year 2 Teacher
Are you a Key Stage 1 specialist looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Leigh.
This position is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2026.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to take over a lovely Year 2 class. You will be responsible for maintaining the progress of the pupils as they move through a critical year of their primary education.
Key Responsibilities:
SATs Preparation: Provide gentle, effective preparation for end-of-key-stage assessments, ensuring pupils feel confident and supported.
Phonics & Literacy: Deliver high-quality Phonics sessions and inspire a love for reading and writing.
Creative Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles.
Wellbeing: Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is highly desirable).
A strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum and assessment framework.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
