Our client is a thrivingindependent Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapypractice. They work with babies children and young people inCambridgeshire and Suffolk; and nationally viateletherapy.
Many of the children they work withhave additional needs such as Down Syndrome an Autistic SpectrumDisorder Cerebral Palsy Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorderand sensory processing difficulties.
As acontinually growing team they are looking for the next speech andlanguage therapist to join them on their journey to find the fun infunction for the children they work with and to help change theworld...one child at atime!

AboutThe Role
An opportunity has arisenfor a band 5/6 speech and language therapist to join the team atthis thriving and supportive private clinic near Cambridge on apermanent basis. The role is flexible to suit your requirements(between 95 on weekdays and with weekend work if requested) and canbe full time or part time.
You will be workingwith children who have additional needs within the field ofdevelopmental difficulties and sensory processingdifficulties.
The caseload is variable and willinclude complex needs and also general developmentaldifficulties.
The majority of the children areseen in their homes making exemplary interpersonal andcommunication skills a must. Duties include assessing planning andimplementing appropriate speech and language therapy interventionsfor children and supporting their families. Applicants will besupported to develop problem solving and specialist clinical skillsessential for meeting the demands of thissetting.

This opportunity is open toyou if you are a qualified speech and language therapist with HCPCregistration and full membership of the Royal College of Speech andLanguage Therapists. Applications from overseas candidates may beaccepted providing you already have HCPC registration inplace.
Recent speech and language therapygraduates will be considered with regular supervision provided forless experienced therapists. All therapists can expect adminsupport and training for clinical areas which require development.
You must demonstrate that you are a great teamplayer you are able to work independently you have a thinkingoutside the box approach and that youre happy to work with a rangeof people.
You must have your own car and beconfident to drive everyday in rural locations. There is parking onsite at the clinic but mostly you will be travelling to the familyshomes and schools. Ideally you will be based near willing tocommute (or relocate to) the Lakenheath/Mildenhall area as this iswhere the majority of your caseload will be. You may also beallocated work in Peterborough Alconbury Kings Lynn and Huntingdon(by mutualagreement).
