Job Title: Personal Assistant (PA) to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Location: Applecroft School, Welwyn Garden City, Herts. The Role: We are seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Personal Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This is a key role within the school, requiring discretion, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of leadership, HR, safer-recruitment and communications-related processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level administrative & organisational support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Manage diaries, appointments, meetings and correspondence Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and follow up actions Act as a first point of contact for SLT-related enquiries Support the planning and organisation of school events, meetings and inspections Administer HR processes including recruitment, shortlisting support, references and pre-employment checks Maintain accurate and confidential staff records in line with GDPR and school policies Support staff on-boarding, induction and leaver processes Assist with absence monitoring, contracts and personnel documentation Liaise with the local authority, payroll providers and external HR services Manage and update the school’s official social media accounts in line with school policies and guidance Create, schedule and publish appropriate content celebrating learning, achievements and school life Ensure all social media activity complies with safeguarding, data protection and consent requirements Work with the Headteacher and SLT to maintain a positive, professional and consistent online presence Monitor messages and comments and escalate concerns appropriately. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Proven experience in a PA, senior administration or HR support role Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills High levels of discretion and professionalism Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
