Base pay range
We are looking for a Clinical Lead to work 38.5 hours per week with a regular 14‑day rolling rota. Competitive rates, excellent training and development and job satisfaction are offered.
Responsibilities
* Manage the nursing services in liaison with the Care Home Manager.
* Lead the team, ensuring staff skills are managed, supervised appropriately and rotas are in place.
* Promote, role model and maintain a high standard of nursing care including the home environment.
* Induct new nursing staff, provide ongoing clinical supervision and, where applicable, mentorship and assessment of student nurses.
* Work within the NMC Code and CQC standards, ensuring legal compliance and best practice guidance.
* Plan, direct and deliver high‑quality person‑centred care through the care planning process, championing independence and personal choice.
* Oversee all aspects of medicine management, ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered.
* Monitor the quality of nursing care through effective auditing and undertake corrective action as required.
* Undertake staff reviews through supervision, annual appraisal and team meetings.
* Evaluate performance of the nursing team, ensuring duties are performed effectively and attitudes reflect Prime Life values.
* Stay up to date on and follow relevant procedures within Prime Life policy files.
* Train the nursing team in conjunction with the Workforce Development team to maintain current practices.
* Maintain accurate documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned development.
* Deputise for the Care Home Manager and take responsibility for building management in the manager’s absence.
* Ensure provision of emergency treatment for all clients when required.
* Accountability to the Care Home Manager for all duties and responsibilities, including identifying concerns and attending meetings as required.
