Senior Project Controls Specialist – Newcastle
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Hybrid Working: Work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days a week.
Security Clearance: Offer subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC clearance requiring 5 years continuous UK address history.

Responsibilities
* Lead a fast‑paced Delivery PMO team across multiple complex programmes, reporting directly to Senior Leadership.
* Support successful delivery as part of the PMO for large, high‑complexity programmes.
* Use data analytics to uncover actionable insights and inform programme strategy via tools such as Power BI.
* Own and manage end‑to‑end operational and financial data for large projects or programmes; report on profitability, sales, and revenue positions.
* Work with internal delivery teams to understand status, issues, risks, and put mitigation plans in place.
* Plan, budget creation, management and control using a bespoke suite of programme management tools; set up plans, track progress, and report variances.
* Liaise with Commercial and Financial Management teams to align programme and corporate finances.
* Manage internal and client stakeholder relationships.
* Identify and drive continuous service improvement and process automation.
* Experience leading as part of a project or programme management office (PMO).
* Adept at managing complex plans and resource profiles over large programmes of work.
* Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
* Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI.
* Experience driving process automation and continuous service improvement.
* Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presenting to groups.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to coach and mentor as part of a large team.
* A keen interest in technology.
Qualifications
* Mid‑Senior level experience in project or programme management.
* Full‑time employment.
* Strong background in Project Management and Information Technology.
* Experience in IT Services and IT Consulting industries.
