Care Partner

Reports to: Senior Carer/Nurse
Job Description:
* Provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements.
* Support and enable service users to maintain skills and personal interests while delivering person-centred care unique to each individual.
* Maintain current level of skills and undertake required training and development.
* Ensure care plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed.
* Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are considered.
* Provide safe, reliable, compassionate care and support to meet the individual’s needs and wishes.
* Promote and respect the Service User’s dignity at all times.
* Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene needs.
* Assist with the dining experience.
* Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Support service users to maintain relationships and connections with the local community.
* Inform the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of service users.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of the individuals supported.
* Provide non‑discriminatory care and support that values the individual.
* Promote independence and own decision making.
* Assist with social activities to enhance well‑being.
* Maintain safe working practices within the Home.
* Attend staff meetings.
* Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.
* Work in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams.
* If desired by the service user, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other important people.
* Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
* Be a role model for other carers and an ambassador for the service.
* Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times.
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with relevant legislation such as Data Protection.
* Hold a knowledge of the Fundamental Standards.
* Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the CQC.
* Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.
* Attend statutory training and other training as directed by management.
* Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.
* Be open to learning opportunities.
Working Hours: As agreed with the Manager.
Contract Type: Full time.
Salary: £12.50 per hour.
Closing Date: Friday 30th January 2026.
