Functions
ClinicalandManagerial
1. Tosupport the Executive Principal and the Therapies Lead in theirrole contributing to decision making service planning andstrategy.
2. To undertake line management of thePsychology and Speech and Language teams including monitoring andreviewing performance.
3. To participate ineducation and residential panel assessment for suitability ofchildren and young adults.
4. To promote andfacilitate collaborative working early intervention and integratedsolutions applying psychology to enhance the learning anddevelopment of children and young adults at StPiers.
5. To assess and provide psychologicalreports for new students to St Piers
6. Toundertake therapy sessions to support the emotional and mentalhealth of children and young adults at StPiers.
7. To provide psychological advice to staffwithin St Piers educational and residential services includingworking closely with colleagues in the WellbeingTeam.
8. To provide a highquality psychologicalservice to students and their families schools and otherpartners.
9. To provide Assessment andPsychological reports for the Assessment Unit in YoungEpilepsy.
10. To provide training on PsychologicalApproaches to Behaviour.
11. To contribute todelivering positive outcomes for children and young people throughcreative application of psychology.
12. Thisincludes casework consultation projects and wider serviceinitiatives Work in partnership with parents and in closecooperation with other services both within and outside YoungEpilepsy in order to contribute to a coordinated service forchildren and young adults.
13. Be aware of reviewunderstand and meet organisation performance standards policies andprocedures targets and key performanceindicators.
14. To attend/chair/participate invarious internal and external meetings student reviews andcommittees etc. as required.
15. Responsible forensuring all policies procedures protocols and guidelines relatingto educational psychology interventions and/or areas of work are inplace maintained reviewed and communicated effectively to therelevantteams.
General
1. Ensureall duties are carried out in accordance with Health and Safetyregulations as given by the Young Epilepsy Health and Safety policyand procedures.

Requirements
1. Adoctorate or postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychologyrecognised by the British PsychologicalSociety
2. At least 4 years experience in theapplication of psychological knowledge andskills
3. Clinical experience of developing anddelivering highly effective person centredpathways
4. Used to working as part of amultidisciplinary team
