We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Birmingham, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who benefit from extra support to thrive both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with additional needs, including those with autism, ADHD, Autism, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges. Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and strategies. Support the development of pupils' social skills, emotional wellbeing, and independence. Assist in maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and reports. Requirements: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). A minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK primary school. Experience working with children with additional needs in a school or similar setting. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine passion for making education accessible and enjoyable for all learners. Desirable: Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other communication systems.
