Job Role: Support worker / Healthcare Assistant
The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.
Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes. They are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.
Your duties may include:
1. Helping patients wash, shower, or dress
2. Serving food or assisting with eating
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients who are confined to bed to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to help reduce anxiety
6. Assisting patients with mobility difficulties
7. Assisting with toileting needs
8. Maintaining cleanliness of the ward or patient's home
9. Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new healthcare assistants.
