We’re working in partnership with a well established and supportive structural engineeringconsultancy to recruit a talented Structural CAD Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and growing team, contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, and conservation buildings.
The Role:
As a Structural CAD Technician, you will:
* Produce detailed and accurate structural CAD drawings for various building types
* Work confidently with steel, masonry, timber, and reinforced concrete (RC)
* Support with steel connection detailing (prior experience is desirable but not essential)
* Ensure designs align with Building Regulations and NHBC standards
* Liaise closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
About You:
* Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, ZWCAD, or NanoCAD
* Strong knowledge of core construction materials
* Able to read and interpret structural engineering sketches
* Detail-oriented with excellent communication and coordination skills
* Previous experience with steel detailing is an advantage
