Role: Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Swansea/Cardiff - with UK wide travel
Salary: £40,000 with OTE £55,000 +
My client is looking for an Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer. You Will be working alongside a Mechanical Engineer as part of a two-person team delivering installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping equipment across the UK.
The role will primarily cover Wales and the Southwest of England; however, candidates must be flexible and willing to travel nationwide, including overnight stays when required. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered.
Responsibilities include:
* Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping systems
* Provide electrical support to a Mechanical Engineer on-site
* Attend sites across the UK, primarily Wales & Southwest
* Complete site reports and documentation accurately
* Support breakdown and aftersales service activities when required
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
* Maintain tools, materials, and equipment readiness
* Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Skills & Experience:
* Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (17th or 18th Edition / BS 7671)
* Experience in a similar electrical or maintenance role
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home
Desirable:
* Inspection & Testing (Level 3)
* Experience working with pumps or motors
* Confined Space training
