Job Title: Band 7 Theatre Coordinator - Paediatric Operating Theatres

About the Role
The Royal Hospital for Children is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Theatre Coordinator to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team within our state-of-the-art paediatric operating theatres.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership, coordinate daily theatre operations, and support safe, effective, and compassionate care for children and young people undergoing surgery.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate theatre activities daily to ensure safe and effective operations.
* Lead and support a skilled perioperative team, including nurses, operating department practitioners, and theatre support staff.
* Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure a seamless patient pathway.
* Maintain high standards of care, ensuring compliance with infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance standards.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current NMC or HCPC registration.
* Significant post-registration experience in a perioperative environment.
* Proven leadership and coordination skills at Band 6 level or above.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* A strong passion for delivering safe, child-centered care and driving high standards.
