The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Workshop Engineer.
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preparation of Jungheinrich and other brand materials handling equipment, working to company quality and productivity standards. This includes:
* Accurately diagnosing incoming work and ensuring required parts are ordered and fitted
* Carrying out repairs, modifications, rental preparation, and PDI's using company systems (e.g., JETI)
* Completing all work to agreed quality and time standards
* Producing accurate inspection and defect reports
* Managing and ordering parts and sub‑contract services when required
* Updating company records and documentation using a company laptop
* Observing and maintaining excellent health & safety and housekeeping standards
* Occasional site visits where required
* Supporting modification control activities (e.g., capacity plates)
* Liaising professionally with internal stakeholders and support departments

Person Specification
This position is ideal for mechanically or electrically biased engineers from any maintenance or service background—particularly:
* General automotive technicians
* HGV engineers
* Mobile plant engineers
* Forklift engineers
* Ex‑forces/military vehicle engineers
Given the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will:
* Hold a full driving licence
* Have experience working in a customer‑facing environment
* Be comfortable working unsupervised
* Possess good literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills
* Have an engineering background or an engineering apprenticeship/vocational qualification
* Be physically fit
* (Desirable) Have materials handling experience
