🔑 Key Responsibilities
* Work on a 1:1 basis with a Lower KS2 pupil with Autism, tailoring support to individual needs
* Implement structured routines and strategies to promote engagement and progress
* Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation in line with SEN best practice
* Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to adapt lessons and monitor progress
* Promote inclusion and positive behaviour management within the classroom
* Uphold safeguarding and compliance standards at every stage of pupil support
👤 Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience working in UK primary schools (essential)
* Strong understanding of Autism and strategies for supporting pupils with ASC
* Experience delivering 1:1 support and managing challenging behaviour positively
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to working with primary‑age pupils
* Enhanced DBS and references (APT Education will support with compliance)
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils of primary age and helping them achieve their potential
