Job Summary
The Hod Carrier is responsible for the loading, unloading and transporting of materials and will give assistance to the bricklayers as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Duties
* Loading, unloading and transporting materials such as bricks, stone, block, mortar and other construction materials to the bricklayers on a construction site
* Preparing materials for use by the bricklayer
* Working safely and efficiently
* Following safety procedures and working efficiently
* Working well as a team to meet project deadlines
Teamwork
* Provide assistance to the bricklaying team.
Health and Safety
* Keep walkways clear / traffic management
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
* Experience is construction industry
* Physical stamina and ability to carry heavy loads
* The ability to travel to various sites across the region
* Full Clean Driving Licence
* Have an awareness of safety issues
* Ability to work in a construction environment
