Scope of the Quality Inspector Role
To mechanically inspect Piece Part, Sub Assembly or Final Assembly produced by the Company or its Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to AS9100 and EASA Part 21. Support the Companys calibration system and maintain the supporting records.
Main Duties/Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector
1. Responsible for mechanical inspection of all Company Products, using a wide range of hand measuring tools and other inspection equipment including the CMM.
2. Nominated DQR for product release of specific customer products
3. Certifying Staff for release of Civil Aerospace products
4. Responsible for verification of supplier FAIRs.
5. Responsible for compiling FAIRs to AS9102 for internal products.
6. Responsible for co-ordinating mechanical & electrical calibration with internal customers.
7. Responsible for calibration improvement plan.
8. Responsible for developing GRIPs Goods Inwards Inspection Plans and coordinating with the supplier.
9. Produce accurate and detailed written NCRs on non-conforming product for either internal or external distribution.
