Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving and be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and flatbeds. Responsibilities
* Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
* Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and schedules
* Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
* Assist in the maintenance of equipment, including performing minor repairs when necessary
* Navigate routes using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries
Skills
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license
* Familiarity with various types of vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers, and heavy haul trucks
* Experience with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is a plus
Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting vehicle issues
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in route driving or freight transportation is preferred
* Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation
