We are looking for a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist to join our team, with a 2 week wait interest. Our maternity service has a variety of specialist clinics (both scan and non-scan) including: mental health, vulnerable service users, twins, preterm birth, small baby and Rainbow. The services are multi-professional, including our specialist midwives. The general obstetric commitments include both routine and emergency obstetrics and non-resident on call (for obstetrics only). The key clinical requirements of the post are to provide consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean lists, ward rounds, maternity triage, assessment unit cover and antenatal clinics. Our gynaecology service includes urogynaecology, reproductive medicine, benign and emergency gynaecology, and gynae oncology, with community clinics and acute services. We have a two- tier gynaecology on-call consultant rota, one consultant is rostered to cover emergency gynaecology at the QMC campus, the other consultant is on-call for complex surgery, which includes oncology at City and maternity on both campuses, in the event that a gynaecologist is required to support the obstetric team.
