A highly innovative global engineering organisation is seeking an interim Buyer.
This is a 3–6-month contract opportunity focused on operational procurement and materials management, ensuring continuity of supply and supporting production requirements within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
The role will work closely with engineering, production and planning teams to ensure materials, components and supplier deliveries are aligned with manufacturing schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operational procurement activity across electronic components and manufacturing materials
Coordinate closely with suppliers and Contract Electronic Manufacturers (CEMs) to ensure on-time delivery
Support materials planning and inventory management to maintain production continuity
Monitor supplier performance, lead times and delivery schedules
Raise and manage purchase orders, expediting where required to prevent supply disruption.
Work cross-functionally with production, engineering and planning teams to support operational requirements
Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems
Candidate Profile
Experience within operational procurement, supply chain or materials management
Background within electronics, engineering or manufacturing environments highly desirable
Strong understanding of MRP / ERP systems and supply chain processes
Confident liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery and supply issues
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
