The Role
We are seeking a driven and adaptable Business Development Associate to support our Business Development Manager in key areas such as Product Management, Stakeholder Liaison, and Communications.
The successful applicant will work alongside and report to the Business Development Manager.
The role involves Cross-Department Collaboration, requiring you to be able to liaise with teams across development, testing, business solutions, customer service, accounts, and management to facilitate seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assist in compiling releases, managing change requests and bug fixes, and evaluating potential improvements to our flagship software product, Destin8.
* Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
* Support the development of email campaigns, news articles, and communications strategies to enhance engagement.
* Shadow and strive to learn all aspects of our products to deputise for the Business Development Manager when required.
* Assist in developing and implementing approaches to increase product adoption and engagement among existing and prospective customers, ensuring effective positioning and communication of value propositions.
About You
As the Business Development Associate you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels.
You will be a positive communicator, enthusiastic, and good team player possessing strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving capabilities to assist you to manage tasks independently while working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Other skills:
* Stakeholder management skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Experience in JIRA, Constant Contact, Photoshop, After Effects and Destin8 is desirable but can be learned on the job.
* Previous experience in Shipping & Logistics is beneficial but not required.
This Business Development Associate role is a permanent, full-time position based in Felixstowe.
