About the role:
We are recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician for our Waste Operations team at Farnham STW. The role involves working in a multi-discipline team, performing scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize plant breakdowns. You will contribute to operations, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure service quality and timeliness.
Key responsibilities include:
* Investigating plant failures and performing repairs efficiently to prevent process interruptions.
* Providing technical advice and supporting technical trainees.
* Working on equipment such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, control gear, VSDs, control systems, and chemical handling equipment, including statutory checks.
* Adhering to safety procedures and working safely at all times.
* Training on water treatment processes may be provided.
Location & Working Pattern:
Base at Farnham STW, Monkton Lane, GU9 9ND. 38 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:36, with standby and overtime opportunities.

* Experience as a time-served apprentice or in a multi-skilled electrical and mechanical role.
* Qualifications: ONC/HNC, NVQ, C&G Level 3, with mechanical NVQ2/3 and 18th Edition.
* Valid driving license required.
* Proactive, disciplined, team-oriented, with good communication skills.
