Ton Yr Ywen Primary School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic class teacher to join our Reception team for one term, covering a period of maternity leave. This post is offered in line with maternity rights and may be subject to change accordingly.
The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and collaborative Early Years team and will demonstrate a strong understanding of early years pedagogy, particularly the central role of play, observation and holistic child development within the Curriculum for Wales.

●Confident in adapting provision to meet a wide range of needs, including those requiring Additional Learning Needs (ALN) support
●Able to show initiative, flexibility and a willingness to contribute positively to whole‑school life and to work effectively as part of an Early Years team.
The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner, able to create an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that reflects our school ethos and supports children to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Under the Teacher and Higher Education Act 1998 and the Teachers (Compulsory Registration) Wales Regulations 2000, every qualified teacher, who is employed in a maintained school must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
