Are you a highly motivated professional looking to work as a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist (or Band 7 with progression to 8a) within the established and supportive Learning Disability Community Team based in East Cheshire?
We work across two office bases in Macclesfield and Crewe.
Our service provides person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, who may also experience co-morbid mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and/or autism, using a full multidisciplinary approach. This post will be integral to this team.
Do you have significant experience working with people with learning disabilities, demonstrate leadership qualities, and aim to ensure timely psychological interventions with service user satisfaction at the core?
Access to transport for work purposes is essential as the post holder will be required to travel as part of their role.
We are recruiting for 1 part-time post, 22.5 hours per week, 3 days. If you require an adjustment to these hours, please specify in your supporting information on the application.

You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to facilitate positive change and improve the quality of life for people with learning disabilities through direct and indirect therapeutic support.
You will work across various community settings, including clients’ homes, and supervise/support junior team members and trainees.
You will be part of a forward-thinking, supportive multidisciplinary team including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists.
A commitment to quality improvement and research is essential, as we host the Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID).
