An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Traffic Engineer specialising in Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to join a busy client in the Manchester area.
The main duties of the experienced Traffic Engineer are:
Support the Traffic Management and Highways teams in delivering TRO schemes, amendments, and consultations.
Lead the design, drafting, and implementation of TROs in line with local policies and statutory requirements.
Liaise effectively with residents, councillors, and stakeholders to provide clear, technically accurate advice and responses regarding TROs.
Manage public and statutory consultations, ensuring all feedback is considered and appropriately addressed.
Assess feasibility of TRO proposals and recommend solutions to balance operational, legal, and community requirements.
Maintain accurate records of TRO schemes, produce reports, and update management information systems.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through negotiation, communication, and technical expertise.
Identify issues in assigned work, propose improvements, and drive process efficiencies.
Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, service level agreements, and local authority standards.
Support personal development and continuous improvement within the traffic management function.
