Are you looking for a new role?

We'd like you to join us as a Senior Support Worker at our service Bobbins Swindon.

At Bobbins, we provide residential supported living care to children with severe physical or learning disabilities, including autism. Supported by a highly trained staff team, the children are encouraged to strive for independence, however that looks for them as individuals.


What you'll be working:

* Oncall
* Full Time 42 hours per week
* Working every other weekend
* Sleep ins


What you'll be doing:

* Supporting our clients with daily activities
* Effectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times
* Supporting their care plans to establish routines
* Ensure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person-centered plans in place, reviewing and updating as required with the service manager
* Ensure the client feels safe and stable within their day-to-day care
* Personal Care*
* Cover all aspects of the support worker role as needed to meet the needs of the service
* Be part of the on-call team
* Attend and complete all mandatory training
* Administer medication (if required)
* Support service users with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids such as hoists, wheelchairs, and modified bathing equipment


What you'll have:

* Strong organizational, time management, planning, and communication skills
* Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working
* Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards
* Sound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
* Proven reliability in attendance and punctuality
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
* Driving license is preferred
* Ability to respond to employee issues fairly and consistently
