THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking an exceptional Section Manager to lead our dynamic Uniformed Services department. You'll be at the forefront of preparing ambitious learners for careers in the emergency services and armed forces, managing programmes that provide direct pathways to careers, university, and specialist training.
Reporting directly to the Head of School for Sport, Travel and Uniformed Services, you'll take ownership of a comprehensive portfolio spanning Level 1 to Level 5 qualifications, including NCFE programmes and Higher Education pathways.

Create Experiences: Organise enrichment programmes including day trips and residential expeditions that bring learning to life
WHAT YOU BRING
Essential Qualifications:
1. A degree or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area
2. Full Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE)
3. D1 Driving Licence (minibus driving licence) or willing to obtain this
4. Assessor awards
5. Management qualification
Knowledge & Experience:
6. Minimum 3 years' successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area (Uniformed Services/Sport/other relevant area)
7. Experience delivering awarding body programmes (NCFE/BTEC)
8. Team leadership/supervisory experience
9. Curriculum management/coordination experience
10. Experience working in a relevant vocational industry (Uniformed Services, Sport, or other relevant area)
11. Experience supporting and developing Lecturers with their teaching practice
12. Understanding of FE funding methodology
13. Knowledge of quality assurance and ability to implement awarding body criteria
