As a Data Management Vice President, within the Chief Data Office (CDO), you will be focused on delivering business impact through transformation of Data Quality management. You will work with stakeholders across the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB), other Line Of Businesses (LOBs) and Corporate Functions to ensure fit-for-purpose data, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-profile team at JPMorgan Chase and take a partnership role, supporting one of the Bank’s most significant change programs.
Responsibilities
* Implements and supports Data Quality (DQ) practices across the CIB
* Partners with operations, technology and product control organizations to document data quality controls across the data lineage for critical data flows
* Builds strong partnerships across CIB sub-LOBs and corporate functions to support data quality efforts
* Provides data quality advisory services on specific high-profile data issues/initiatives through focused project management and deep business analysis
* Accelerates data quality issue root-cause analysis and resolution through program governance, process/data mapping and data deep-dives
* Queries data-marts/data-stores to extract knowledge and actionable insights to identify root causes of issues
* Discusses and agrees on technical resolutions with technology teams to remediate DQ issues
* Leverages productivity tools such as Alteryx and visualization tools such as Tableau/Qlikview to analyze large datasets
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
* Experience in financial services with operations / data analytics / data management / project management / business analysis background
* Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, data lineage and metadata management concepts
* Experience in projects and programs focused on data quality, data lineage, data control documentation and metadata management
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; capacity to think laterally and convey the big picture
* Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.)
* Excellent communication, presentation (oral and written) and influencing skills; able to work with stakeholders of varying seniority across Corporate/Firmwide, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Technology
* Self-starter with ability to work autonomously, strong time management, and ability to multi-task under pressure to deliver multiple demands on time
* Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with its products and services
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
* Experience in a CDO or Data Quality organization within an investment bank or large financial services firm
* Experience in querying databases/data stores for data analysis
* Experience in producing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
