We've got an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team of Compliance Engineers based out of our state-of-the-art Evaluation Lab at RS Corby. In this role, you will be hands-on with new and existing products, ensuring all articles are safe, compliant, and meet RS Pro's high-quality standards. We offer ongoing training and development, so prior experience in all areas is not mandatory. This position is fully on-site in Corby for a fixed period of 12 months.
What you will be doing:
1. Conduct evaluation of Private Label articles to ensure products are safe and compliant with relevant Product, Trade, and Transport regulations.
2. Support the commercial team on Product, Trade, and Transport Compliance for existing and new RS PRO products.
3. Monitor legislative changes that may impact products, sales, and compliance.
4. Assist in developing and delivering compliance training to relevant audiences.
5. Help achieve commercial KPIs through continuous improvement initiatives within the Compliance team.
6. Support investigations, testing, and evaluation services as needed.
7. Liaise with external agencies and third-party test houses for additional engineering or compliance services.
8. Contribute to the compliance centre of excellence by sharing knowledge and resources.
9. Provide technical support to Product, Supplier Management, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Requirements include previous hands-on experience in product compliance, knowledge of international trade compliance issues, effective communication skills, stakeholder relationship building, risk prioritization, and the ability to present information clearly. You should also have experience in embedding compliance in a multinational environment, demonstrate resilience and confidence, and be proactive in identifying and implementing best practices.
