Are you a Barnsley College student passionate about social media, digital content, and creative storytelling? Barnsley Recovery Steps is offering a hands-on student placement within ourYoung People’s Team, giving you the chance to develop your skills while supporting a local charity that makes a real impact in the community.
Whatyou’llbe doing:
1. Creating engaging social media content for theyoung people’s teamacross platforms
2. Developing videos, infographics, photography, and graphics to bring campaigns to life
3. Filming and editing creative content for awareness campaigns, including real-life stories and events
4. Supporting theBarnsley Recovery Steps brandacross digital channels, helping shape messaging and visuals
5. Brainstorming fresh ideas and contributing to campaigns that educate and inspire young people
Whatyou’llgain:
6. Practical experience managing social media and creating digital content for a live audience
7. Hands-on experience with filming, photography, editing, and graphic design
8. Insight into working for a charity and supporting young peopleimpactedby alcohol and other drugs
9. Opportunities to contribute your own creative ideas and see them come to life
10. Mentoring and support from a friendly, experienced marketing and communications team
Whowe’relooking for:
11. Creative, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
12. Confident using social media and digital tools (Canva, Adobe, TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
13. Interested in storytelling, video production, photography, or graphic design
14. A team player who can take initiative and contribute ideas
Placement Details:
15. Based at ourMcLintocksoffice in Barnsley, with flexibility to work from home
16. Duration and schedule can be agreed to suit your studies
17. Full support and training provided throughout the placement
