At Rhotels Weymouth we are currently recruiting for a Head Housekeeper and Guest House Host to manage the day to day activities of the housekeeping team/department, whilst ensuring that our guests are receiving a great service. This is a shared role between our Guest House and the Hotel so during the morning you will be ensuring that all rooms and front of house is looked after. As this is a live in position you would also act as a caretaker/host for the Guesthouse that has 9 rooms and ensure that any late arrivals are covered either by the hotel staff or yourself. You could treat the guest house as your baby but it would be sharing it with the owner who also sees it as his baby. It has to be the best that we can help it to be.
Alternatively this could be a shared roll with a different role within the hotel. Therefore if you have other talents then please let us know.
Rhotels offers the Jubilee Hotel with 77 guest bedrooms, restaurant, bar spa and escape dungeons.The Timrick Lodge guesthouse has 9 bedrooms but does room only. You could make such a difference to both sites by managing others doing some cleaning and organising but by being a happy, bubbly person to help create a happy atmosphere.
This is a hands on role and you will be expected to lead from the front.
Key responsibilities:
Able to manage and motivate the team.
Compiling rotas with one of the hotel managers based on forecasted occupancy.
Training and mentoring the team members.
Preparation of guest rooms and public areas to a high standard.
Checking and releasing rooms.
Planning for jobs of the Day/Week/Month.
Stock control of laundry, guest supplies and cleaning materials.
Ensuring all COSHH and H&S legislation is adhered to.

This sounds a lot but there will be training in any areas that you haven't gathered the experience in yet. You will have the Customer Service team to assist and support you. You also will be surrounded by a good housekeeping team.
