Primary SEN Teacher Vacancy - Smallfield, Surrey

Are you a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher looking to make a profound difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Primary Teacher to join a supportive and committed team in Smallfield, Surrey.

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.


About the Role

You'll be joining a school that provides high-quality teaching and learning for students in Years 2 to 6 who experience difficulties with communication and social interaction, typically associated with Autism. Your primary focus will be to deliver an engaging and effective curriculum, tailored to the individual needs of each student.

We are looking for someone who is eager to contribute to a broad and creative curriculum offer and enjoys working as part of a collaborative and committed multi-disciplinary team. What We Offer

* Competitive Salary: £33,075 - £48,719 per year (M1 - UPS2 Fringe)

* Welcome Bonus: A £5,000 welcome bonus for Qualified Teachers

* Generous Leave: This is a term-time only position.

* Work-Life Balance:

o Monday/Wednesday/Thursday: 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM

o Tuesday: 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM

o Friday: 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will be accountable to the school leadership team for a range of key duties, including:

* Contributing to the delivery and development of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of students.

* Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

* Maintaining and utilising short, medium, and long-term plans for curriculum delivery.

* Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalised targets to optimise individual learning.

* Monitoring, assessing, reviewing, and reporting on student progress to parents, team members, and senior staff.

* Developing lesson plans, self-reflecting on outcomes, and contributing to the review of EHCPs, PEPs, and LAC reviews.

* Providing clear lesson structures that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.

* Maintaining an awareness of current issues in the field of autism to plan effective teaching and learning.

* Working in a non-confrontational way to ensure individual needs are met.
