Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position based at our head office in Castle Donington for a Rail Vehicle Engineering Apprentice. In this role, you will assist in maintaining rail vehicles gaining hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering. Day-to-day tasks include supporting project management activities, assisting rail vehicle maintenance delivery, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in rail engineering projects.
What we are looking for:
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Good analytical skills to assess technical challenges and develop effective engineering solutions.
Basic knowledge or interest in rail vehicles, would be advantageous but not essential.
GCSE's (or equivalent), ideally with maths/science/technology.
Exposure to or interest in electromechanical engineering principles and their application to rail vehicles.
Ability to learn and work in a hands-on environment within the rail industry.
willingness to undertake technical or engineering apprenticeship schemes and training.
