Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care and support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments.
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
* Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
* Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
* Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring is essential.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
* Understanding of caregiving principles related to senior care and memory care practices.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
