Data Analyst – Support a Charity Making a Difference
We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Data Analyst to join our small but dedicated team in Bracknell. This is an excellent opportunity to use your analytical expertise to help a charity improve how it works and makes decisions, while contributing to meaningful causes.
The Role
As our Data Analyst, you’ll play a key part in helping the organisation use its data more effectively. You’ll take ownership of reporting and analysis, making information easier to understand and more useful across the organisation. Your work will support a range of teams including Fundraising, Operations, and Retail.
Key responsibilities include:
* Data Consolidation: Bring together information from multiple systems (CRM, EPOS, HR, Finance) to give a clear picture of the organisation’s activity.
* Reporting & Dashboards: Maintain and develop Power BI dashboards and reports, helping teams see trends and make informed decisions.
* Analysis & Insight: Move beyond basic reporting to help identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Collaboration: Work with non-technical colleagues to explain findings clearly and help foster a culture of using data to inform decisions.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who can balance strong technical skills with good communication and teamwork. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you should be confident working independently and able to deliver practical insights from data.
Essential skills and experience:
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar data or reporting role
* Strong Power BI skills (dashboard creation, data modelling, DAX/M)
* Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, complex formulas, Power Query)
* Good communication skills – able to explain data to non-technical colleagues
* Comfortable working independently, managing your own projects
Desirable skills:
* SQL knowledge
* Experience with Spark or other big data tools
Practical Details
* Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
* Location: Bracknell Head Office
* Working Pattern: Hybrid – typically 3 days in office, 2 days from home, with flexibility to discuss a lighter office schedule
* Contract: Full-time, permanent
* Benefits: Life Assurance, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), Training Budget, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
* This is a supportive role in a friendly, mission-driven organisation where your work will make a tangible difference. You’ll help us get smarter with our data, enabling the charity to focus more resources on the people and causes we support.
