Staffline is recruiting Saw Machinists in Loughborough.
The salary is competitive and negotiable, depending on experience.
Overtime may be available based on production needs and is paid at an enhanced rate!
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and the hours of work are:
1. Monday – Thursday: 07:45 AM – 4:30 PM
2. Friday: 07:45 AM – 3:15 PM
3. Night shift hours may also be available for this role with enhanced rates
Your Time At Work:
As a Saw Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up a variety of saws and woodworking equipment, ensuring that all components are machined accurately and safely to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Operating and maintaining woodworking machinery including table saws, mitre saws, bandsaws, wall saws, and overhead pin routers
5. Producing precise cuts in plastic and wooden components, following technical drawings and quality specifications
6. Creating jigs and fixtures to support repeatable and safe production processes
7. Checking tooling and setup before each job to ensure proper configuration and safe operation
8. Reviewing and interpreting CAD/technical drawings to plan efficient machining methods
9. Carrying out routine maintenance and basic safety checks on equipment
10. Self-inspecting finished work to ensure it meets all critical dimensions and quality requirements
Our Perfect Worker:
You’ll be fluent in English (both written and spoken), with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, a strong eye for detail, and solid maths skills.
You will be reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team-focused workplace, with a good understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using woodworking machinery in a production or workshop setting is essential, and familiarity with plastic machining is highly desirable.
