Website Manager

Overview
We’re looking for a Website Manager to take full ownership of a busy public-facing website – from strategic direction to hands-on delivery. You’ll lead the transformation of the current platform, creating smooth digital experiences for a wide range of users including customers, partners and internal teams. This is a pivotal role within the Marketing & Communications team, working closely with ICT and external digital partners.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Define and implement a full website strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
* Oversee platform redevelopment – from concept and agency coordination to delivery.
* Use insights and analytics to drive ongoing optimisation.
Own Content & Customer Journeys
* Develop a modern content strategy for different user types – applicants, customers, partners.
* Continuously assess and improve site journeys to support ease of access and lead generation.
* Ensure all content is accessible, compliant, and clearly written with purpose.
* Implement and manage SEO to boost search presence in a competitive landscape.
* Leverage tools like GA4 to analyse behaviour, track KPIs, and refine UX.
* Improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and on-site conversion rates.
Manage Technical Oversight
* Work with developers, ICT, and hosting providers to ensure secure, high-performance delivery.
* Stay current with evolving digital features, trends, and tools.
* Lead on GDPR, accessibility, and cybersecurity (including PEN testing).
* Partner with internal departments to ensure website messaging is accurate and impactful.
* Manage third-party vendors and support system integrations (CRM, property listings, etc.).
* Support internal and external comms projects with digital execution.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Experience
* 5+ years in digital/web roles, including strategy, UX, content and stakeholder engagement.
* Deep understanding of CMS platforms, SEO, performance reporting, and UX best practice.
* Proven ability to manage web agencies and lead on technical delivery.
* Strong writing, planning and digital project management skills.
Preferred Background
* Experience within housing, property, public sector or other regulated industries.
* Familiarity with Agile methodology.
* Awareness of emerging tools and trends in digital content and automation.
Qualifications
* Degree or third-level qualification in Web Development, Digital Marketing, UX, Computer Science, Communications or related fields.
* Membership of a recognised digital/web body (desirable).
