Job Opportunity: Systems Design Engineer (Missile Systems)
Company: a leading defence organisation
Location: North of London
Salary: competitive (depending on experience)
Security Clearance: Must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Successful candidates will undergo security clearance.
We have opportunities within Missile Systems Design for Systems Engineers of different levels of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will develop and deliver the latest complex weapons capabilities for our armed forces, working on defence-related products to provide sovereign capability to the UK and its allies worldwide.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to decide where and when they work most effectively. Our policy offers flexibility around hours and location, with typically 3 days per week on-site.
Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Post-offer, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG BPSS checks managed by the Personnel Security Team.

Missile Systems Design
Are you a motivated and passionate systems engineer interested in supporting our armed forces? Do you want to elevate your system engineering skills? Our Missile System Designer Engineers are central to product development, evaluating customer requirements, developing specifications, utilizing system design and modelling techniques, and managing verification and validation processes to demonstrate cutting-edge functionality and performance. You will gain detailed understanding of missile system design within a diverse engineering team creating innovative solutions.
What we're looking for from you:
* Application of systems engineering practices across the ‘V-model’ for complex products
* Knowledge of systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody) and languages (SysML) is desirable
* Experience managing engineering work packages, coordinating teams and SMEs
* Ability to manage relationships with partners, including customers and suppliers
* Familiarity with defence, military, or aerospace standards and design assurance processes is useful
* A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills
* Experience in defence or aerospace industry, government, or armed forces is advantageous
