Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Engineering Services team. Based in Hull with travel across the UK, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.This is a senior, client-facing position where you’ll act as Lead Electrical Engineer, managing multiple projects, coordinating on-site teams, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical engineering delivery across multiple projectsAct as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teamsPrepare tenders, proposals, budgets, and project schedulesInterpret technical documentation, drawings, and specificationsManage project performance, including cost tracking and reportingOversee on-site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and complianceProduce technical documentation (RAMS, reports, inspection & maintenance plans)Support commissioning, FAT, and project close-out activitiesContribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processesSupport business development and client relationship buildingAbout YouYou’re a highly motivated and commercially aware engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellence.You will have:Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (consultancy or contracting)Strong experience across full project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning)Excellent knowledge of LV & HV systems (up to 132kV)In-depth understanding of BS7671, ATEX, and electrical safety standardsSolid knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial managementProven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneouslyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsQualifications & RequirementsDegree, HND, or HNC in Electrical EngineeringWorking towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (minimum IEng)Membership of a professional body (e.g. IET)Full UK driving licenceWillingness to travel to client sites across the UKKey SkillsStrong technical expertise in electrical design and installationCommercial awareness and contract managementExcellent planning, organisation, and reporting skillsProficiency in Trimble (Amtech) and Microsoft OfficeAbility to lead, motivate, and coordinate project teamsCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementWhy Join Us?Work on diverse and challenging engineering projectsBe part of a collaborative and forward-thinking teamOpportunities for professional development and career progressionPlay a key role in shaping engineering standards and innovationApply NowIf you’re ready to take the next step in your career and lead impactful electrical engineering projects across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.
