Vacancy: Part Time Care Navigator (25 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Navigator to join our friendly practice, Calsayseat Medical Group, located in the city centre of Aberdeen. The practice currently has around 12,000 patients. This is a part-time position working in a busy reception and administration team. The working hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday - 13:00 to 18:00
We are a busy, fast-paced practice, so ideally the successful candidate will have experience in primary care or working with the public and be a quick learner. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, and focus in a challenging environment are essential.
Teamwork is crucial to support colleagues and the clinical team. You must be confident in communicating with both the public and staff, and be proactive, able to work on your own initiative.
The successful candidate must possess strong IT skills, as this is an essential part of the role. Good interpersonal skills, clear communication, and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff and patients are key. Confidentiality, reliability, and attention to detail are also required to succeed in this role.
Duties include (this list is not exhaustive):
1. Reception duties, including welcoming patients to the surgery
2. Answering incoming telephone calls
3. Processing requests for and printing prescriptions
4. Arranging appointments for patients
5. Processing test results
6. Dealing with Engage Consult
7. Registering new patients and updating patient records
8. Scanning documents into patients’ electronic records
9. General admin duties, including answering queries via telephone/email, filing, and processing mail
Training will be provided.
Salary details: FTE £23,630.54 + £500 uplift per annum, pro-rata to £15,966.58 + £337.84 uplift for a 25-hour working week.
