Overview
Intervention Tutor role at Targeted Provision. Core subject teaching (Maths, English, or Science) with SEN / SEND focus for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in North Yorkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet needs.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other additional educational needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools with educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned with the learner’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD and other needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost, if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work in the UK (remote work included)
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments; paid via PAYE
* No fixed hours or expenses coverage; insurance for your work is provided
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position

Individuals with teaching experience in roles such as SENCo, SLD/MLD Teacher, Autism/ADHD Support Teacher, Intervention Specialist, Ex-Teacher, Learning Support Advisor, Educational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist, Inclusion Coordinator, or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
Location and Availability
North Yorkshire, United Kingdom; rolling interviews. Roles involve either on-site or remote tutoring depending on placement needs.
