Compensation: Base Salary + Target-based Commission (DOE)

Xcel Health Group is a fast-growing provider of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) services, working closely with Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and NHS partners across the UK. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, integrated services that improve patient care and outcomes. As we expand, we’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to help us scale our reach and secure new contracts.

Job Summary

We’re seeking a dynamic and tenacious Business Development Executive to join our dedicated Business Development Team, leading outreach and sales efforts for our FCP services. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with PCNs, NHS stakeholders, and other key decision-makers to promote our offerings, secure new contracts, and nurture long-term relationships.

This is a target-driven role involving proactive sales activity, relationship building, and contract negotiation. You will work closely with the wider business development and operations teams to ensure alignment and success. A background or strong understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly Primary Care and NHS systems, is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and engage with potential clients, primarily PCN leads and NHS commissioners.
* Conduct outreach through cold calls, email campaigns, networking, and LinkedIn engagement.
* Deliver compelling sales presentations and service pitches tailored to client needs.
* Consistently follow up on leads to convert opportunities into signed contracts.
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing PCN and NHS clients.
* Engage regularly with current contract holders to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or service expansion.
* Serve as a key contact during onboarding, contract renewals, and issue resolution.
* Work alongside the existing Business Development Team to share market insights, coordinate outreach strategies, and align on company goals.
* Collaborate with internal teams including operations, service delivery, and clinical leads to support end-to-end client engagement.
* Lead discussions and negotiations for new contracts and service-level agreements.
* Monitor NHS and PCN trends to identify new business opportunities.
* Attend relevant healthcare events, conferences, and webinars to build visibility and networks.
* Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
* Provide regular updates and insights to management regarding progress, challenges, and strategies.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles, preferably in healthcare or service industries.
* Prior exposure to PCNs, NHS structures, or healthcare commissioning is a strong advantage.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Confident in delivering pitches, handling objections, and closing deals.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
