We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cannock. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey by providing tailored support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with additional learning needs
* Implement individual learning strategies and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Foster a positive, nurturing environment to support emotional and academic development
* Monitor progress and assist with regular reviews and assessments
* Encourage independence and social interaction within the classroom and wider school setting
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (particularly ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs is desirable)
* A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children's development
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training)
* Previous experience in a primary school or 1:1 support role
