Robertsbridge Community College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable Caretaker to join our highly motivated team at an exciting time in the school's growth. The Caretaker will be responsible on behalf of the Headteacher for the health and safety of the site and the security of the school premises. They will also maintain machinery, plant, and the internal and external fabric of the school to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
1. A friendly and outgoing personality
2. The ability to learn new tasks
3. The ability to work effectively as part of the school team
4. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
5. Experience in basic DIY tasks and general building maintenance (Essential)
6. Relevant qualifications or experience in specialist building maintenance areas such as carpentry, plastering, glazing, plumbing, or electrical work
7. Ability to follow and give clear instructions
8. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
