Compensation & Shift Premiums Based on the base rate of £22.13 per hour and a 39-hour paid week, here is the breakdown of the annual salary based on your specific shift: Double Days (20% premium): £26.56 per hour / £53,853.33 per annum GM Midweek (30.8% premium): £28.95 per hour / £58,693.36 per annum Nights (40.1% premium): £31.00 per hour / £62,873.30 per annum Shift Patterns: Optimal Working Week The role operates on a structured shift rotation covering production, start-up, and cleaning operations: Morning Shift Monday - Wednesday: 6 am - 2 pm (8 hours) Thursday: 6 am - 1 pm (7 hours) Friday: OFF Total: 39 Paid HoursAfternoon Shift Monday - Wednesday: 2 pm - 10 pm (8 hours) Thursday: 1 pm - 8 pm (7 hours) Friday: 7 am - 3 pm (8 hours) Total: 39 Paid HoursNight Shift Monday - Wednesday: 10 pm - 6 am (8 hours) Thursday: 8 pm - 7 am (11 hours) Friday: OFF Total: 39 Paid Hours Key Responsibilities Maintenance Excellence: Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) using Electrical, Control System, Automation, and Mechanical Engineering skill sets. Fault Diagnosis: Diagnosing, testing, and repairing Mechanical and Electrical equipment faults. Root Cause Analysis: Identifying failure modes and trends through RCA processes (e.g., 5 WHY) to drive long-term reliability. Reporting & Compliance: Recording all maintenance tasks on the SAP system and ensuring all tasks are risk-assessed (DRA). Continuous Improvement: Seeking cost-effective improvements to site assets and supporting project/change initiatives. Knowledge Transfer: Delivering on-the-job training to colleagues and apprentices through the creation of SMP/SOPs. Experience & Skills Required Qualifications: Recognised/Certificated Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3, and 18th Edition qualified. Technical Background: Minimum of 5 years in maintenance within a Manufacturing Industry with a Mechanical/Electrical bias.
