Job Title: Site Agent - Infrastructure (Day Shift)
Location: Heathrow Airport
Rate: £500-£550 per shift (Inside IR35 or via Ltd Company)
Night Shift Uplift: £650-£700 per shift (1-2 Thursday night shifts per month as required)
Hours: 07:30 - 17:00
Working Pattern: No weekends | 1 day per week WFH | Initial 2 shifts on nights for onboarding
Project & Department Overview
This role sits within a major infrastructure upgrade programme at one of the world's busiest aviation environments, supporting critical asset management and compliance works. The project focuses on essential tunnel infrastructure, ensuring key transport routes remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while upgrade works are delivered within constrained access windows.
Purpose of the Role
The Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day management and technical delivery of a complex infrastructure package. Leading the day-shift function, you will ensure all preparatory works are in place for successful night-time delivery, managing subcontractors and coordinating closely with stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges in a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
Oversee all engineering activities, ensuring full compliance with design specifications and relevant standards
Review and interpret complex drawings, providing technical guidance and solutions
Operational Management
Manage subcontractors and site engineers, ensuring delivery aligns with programme, quality, and safety expectations
Drive productivity and maintain high standards across all site operations
Shift Integration
Act as the key interface between day and night teams via the handover engineer
Ensure all works are fully planned, briefed, and resourced for night-shift execution
Support efficient delivery within restricted tunnel possession windows
Health, Safety & Compliance
Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental requirements
Planning & Reporting
Lead short-term programming and track progress against the master schedule
Identify risks and proactively report issues or delays to senior management
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, designers, and third parties to resolve technical queries
Promote a collaborative "One Team" approach across all project stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong Civil or Structural Engineering background
Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects (tunnels, highways, rail)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and solve engineering challenges in live environments
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable
Experience working within aviation or highly regulated environments
Valid CSCS card and H&S qualifications (e.g. SMSTS)
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and change management processes
Additional Information
First 2 shifts will be worked on nights to support integration with delivery teams
Occasional night shifts (1-2 per month, typically Thursdays) required to support key works
Hybrid working available with 1 day per week working from home
