We’re building a brand-new, state-of-the-art 16-bay trailer workshop at our Midlands Super Hub, and we’re looking for skilled technicians who want more from their career, with full training, progression opportunities, and long-term stability.
Location: The role will initially be based at our Crick / Coventry workshop (additional travel expenses will be covered), before moving to the Midlands Super Hub by late 2026.
What you’ll earn
o £40,906 basic salary
o £15,450 Defined Workshop allowance
o £2,736 Weekend Allowance (based on 1 in 3 weekends)
o £1,532 Late Shift Allowance (based on 1 in 3 weeks)
Total OTE: £60,624
Overtime and shift allowances
o Overtime at £27.79 per hour (£29.78 per hour on bank holidays)
o Weekend bonus supplement of £53.66 per Saturday shift and £107.33 per Sunday shift
o Late shift attendance allowance £90.21 per week (1 in 3 weeks)
Shift pattern
39.5 hours per week on a 3-week rotating shift pattern:
o Week 1 – Early: 06:00-14:30 (Mon-Fri)
o Week 2 – Mids & Weekend: x3 days Monday-Friday 09:30-18:00, plus Saturday & Sunday 06:00-14:30 (with 2 days off mid-week)
o Week 3 – Late: 13:30-22:00 (Mon-Fri)
What you’ll be doing
o Service, maintain and repair trailers (including DDTs), HGVs, and LCVs
o Carry out PMIs, inspections, diagnostics & fault-finding
o Work in a modern, well-equipped workshop, using both specialist tooling and your own tools for maintenance
o Play a key role in keeping one of the UK’s largest fleets operational

Who we’re looking for
o IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic (heavy vehicle maintenance) or equivalent
o Experience in vehicle maintenance or trailer work
o Interest in DDT / HGV progression (if not already qualified)
o Full manual UK C1 driving licence (C+E desirable, not essential)
o Flexible to service demands and able to work on a shift rota
o Team player with pride in workmanship
