Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving secondary school in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong desire to make a difference in young people's lives and gain valuable experience in education.
Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with teachers to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature
* A good understanding of SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Suitable references covering the last two years
