We are looking for AHP Support Worker to join the friendly team within the Physiotherapy Department at Stracathro Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Physiotherapy Team within the outpatient department to provide a high-quality physiotherapy service to patients across the locality.
* Communicate effectively with patients and staff both in person and on the telephone.
* Conduct group exercise sessions as well as one-to-one rehabilitation sessions to assist the qualified physiotherapy staff.
* Provide cover for the AHP Support Worker within the surgical unit at Stracathro treating orthopaedic post-operative patients.
* Carry out administrative and infection control duties as required.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working with the public is essential; experience working with patients in a clinical setting would be advantageous.
* Compliance with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
* Excellent communication skills with patients and staff.
Conditions
* Hours of work: 37 hours per week.
* Interviews will be held in person at Stracathro Hospital and will include practical tasks.
