* Job Title: Accountant - Part time
* Location: Wakefield - Office based
* Salary: £20 to £23 per hour DOE
* 16 hours per week, flexible on the days but ideally over 2/3 days a week
About the Company
Our client is an accountancy practice that specialises in supporting sole traders and small businesses with practical, straightforward advice. The firm provides accountancy advice and offers a comprehensive range of services, including Self-Assessment tax returns, Bookkeeping, Payroll, VAT returns, CIS returns, Limited Company accounts, and Making Tax Digital compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Experience preparing Corporation Tax returns for Ltd companies using TaxCalc Software is essential
* Submitting Limited Company Confirmation Statements to Companies House
* Be able to use QuickBooks to help out with quarterly VAT returns
* Resolving VAT queries and identifying opportunities to improve compliance and efficiency.
About You
* Worked in accountancy practice prior, unfortunately industry-based accountancy will not be the right fit for this role.
* Proficient in TaxCalc - Accountancy and Tax Return Software
* Trained in QuickBooks
* AAT Level 3 qualified
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
